Warner Bros. has some serious cause to celebrate today. Aquaman closed out its second weekend in North America by bringing in another $51.5M! For those keeping score that’s only a 24% drop from its opening weekend of $68M (not including $4.7M previews). The smallest second week decline of any comic book movie in this modern era. It’s North America box office now sits around $188,7M. The movie should cross $200M on New Years Eve, ending the year as Warner Bros. highest grossing movie of 2018. It’s been a little while since we heard anything about the merger between 20th Century Fox and Disney. The latest rumours point to the deal being completed “sometime” in the first half of 2019. The deal being completed will signify that Marvel can go ahead and begin bringing the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters in to its cinematic universe. American ticket company Fandango has been looking ahead to most highly anticipated movies of 2019. As part of that preview the site has, of course, been covering the next DC Films release, Shazam! Swamp Thing pilot director Len Wiseman has shared a new behind-the-scenes look at production on his Instagram. The series’ Executive Producer shared an image of himself on set alongside series leads Crystal Reed as Abby Arcane and Andy Bean as Alec Holland.
