It’s been a little while since news broke that Netflix had cancelled both Iron Fist and Luke Cage from its schedule. This new won’t come as a surprise to anybody, TV Line has confirmed that The CW has ordered Batwoman pilot to go in to production. We’ve previously seen character breakdowns for the pilot. There has also been unofficial confirmation that the pilot would go in to production around April of 2019. TV Line has confirmed that DCTV veteran David Nutter will be directing the pilot episode based on a script by Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries). Following a false start Netflix has confirmed that The Punisher will return on January 18. Announcing the news via the shows official Twitter account the streaming service also dropped a new teaser. This new video features a standoff between Frank Castle and his rival Ben Barnes as Billy Russo/Jigsaw. Interestingly the teaser gives us our first look at Russo’s new mask. Barnes has confirmed his character won’t be referred to by his comic book moniker. It would seen from this new mask he may have developed an entirely new persona for this series. Last night Gotham returned to screens in North America for its final season. “Year Zero” dropped fans right back in to the action several months after the events of the season four finale.
