Congratulations to the cast and crew of Captain Marvel as the movie has crossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office. The movie is now the 7th in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to cross the landmark figure worldwide and the 10th comic book movie overall to do so. There’s no obvious Wayne Tower which could be down to the “Elseworlds” nature of the movie though. During their CinemaCon presentation yesterday the team at Disney touched on the future of the newly acquired Deadpool. Last seen in the Christmas release of Once Upon A Deadpool his future has been left unsure with the merger between the House of the Mouse and 20th Century Fox. According to THR Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn confirmed that there is more from the Merc with a Mouth on the way. It’s been uncovered that the 70th issue of DC Comics Batman series has undergone a bit of an overhaul. The initial solicitation for the May issue of the series touted a story featuring the alternate universe Batman, Thomas Wayne. The striking cover art for the issue showed Bruce’s father dragging his son across the desert. After months of speculation it seems that Disney has confirmed it WILL be releasing X-Men franchise movie New Mutants. During their CinemaCon presentation yesterday (reported by CBR) the movie was listed on a release slate which the studio presented to attendees.
