Blue Finch Film Releasing has announced that the acclaimed supernatural J-horror feature Never After Dark will be arriving on digital platforms on 2nd November 2026.
The film centers on Airi, a wandering medium who spends her life guiding restless spirits out of the living world. When she is summoned to an isolated country house, she comes face-to-face with a grotesque apparition possessing powers that completely defy her past experience. As Airi digs deeper into the dark history of the property, a hidden secret comes to light—and she finds herself hunted by a far more unpredictable force. For the first time in her career, her greatest adversary isn’t supernatural, but very much alive.
Written and directed by Dave Boyle (House of Ninjas, The Man from Reno), the haunting psychological thriller made its world premiere at SXSW 2026 before going onto an impressive global festival run that included screenings at the Overlook Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, and the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
Never After Dark stars Moeka Hoshi (Shōgun), Kento Kaku (House of Ninjas, Alice in Borderland), and Kurumi Inagaki (GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka).
Horror fans in the UK and beyond can experience this new J-Horror when Never After Dark debuts on digital storefronts on 2nd November 2026.
