After releasing teasers over the last couple of days, DC Studios has now officially debuted the teaser trailer for James Watkins’ Clayface. The film, which stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, will debut in cinemas nationwide on October 23, 2026.
The teaser is giving nothing away with no dialogue or narration to bring us in to Matt Hagen’s world. We see the actor in a hospital bed, his face mangled and fully bandaged. The trail features flashes of Hagen on red carpets and living a happier life but that imagery soon gives way to Clayface and his loss of identity.

Directed by James Watkins and written by Hossein Amini and Mike Flanagan, Clayface stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen. Also starring in the film are Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, Ruby Sear and Eddie Marsan.
Producing Clayface are James Gunn and Peter Safran for DC Studios as well as The Batman filmmaker Matt Reeves and Lynn Harris. Chantal Nong is executive producer.
