VIZ Media has partnered with Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions to release the english language debut of new anime Hirayasumi in 2027.
Hiroto is a carefree 29 year old with little concern for the future. With no full time job or a girlfriend, he lives a happy and carefree life. His breezy attitude is not easy for everybody to understand however. In a world filled with anxiety, confusion and grief, Hiroto and the people around his are all just doing the best to figure out this thing called life.
Originally a serialised manga in Weekly Big Comic Spirits since 2021, it received an english language translation through VIZ in May 2024. Since it’s release, Hirayasumi has earned widespread critical acclaim and multiple industry honors, including the Shogakukan Manga Award, with more than 1.5 million copies in circulation worldwide.
The Hirayasumi anime adaptation will be release by VIZ Media sometime in 2027.
