We’re now a little under a month away from the release of Scream 7 and Paramount Pictures is turning up the heat on the film’s promotion. Overnight a brand new featurette has surfaced online spotlight lighting franchise creator Kevin Williamson and his journey to the director’s chair.
Williamson first created the Scream franchise back in the early 1990s working with original director Wes Craven. As well as executive producing all the recent entries in the franchise he now returns as writer and for the first time will direct with next month’s Scream 7. He discusses his journey with the franchise, alongside original star Neve Campbell and other select members of the cast in this brand new video.

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Williamson directs from a screenplay written with Guy Busick, based on a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, McKenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons and Mark Consuelos.
Scream 7 releases in UK cinemas on February 27, 2026.
