Crunchyroll has announced the acquisition of the two series of Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken). All the episodes are now available in Japanese with English subtitles.
Adapted from a manga written by Buronson, illustrated by Tetsuo Hara, and published in Weekly Shonen Jump, the anime was produced by Toei Animation. Broadcast in Japan from October 1984 to March 1987, the first series has a total of 109 episodes. Its sequel, Hokuto no Ken 2, in which the main characters have grown up, has 43 episodes and was broadcast between March 1987 and February 1988.
In the year 199X, the Earth was consumed by the atomic flames, drying up seas and oceans to leave nothing but a vast desert where violence reigns supreme.
