Following the release of his debut feature Urchin, a powerful exploration of homelessness, Harris Dickinson has teamed up with the charity Under One Sky to support a cause close to his heart. Dickinson and his production company Devisio are releasing the exclusive t-shirt, which he debuted in Cannes this year, exclusively on devisiopictures.com and all proceeds will go directly to the charity.
The impressive directorial debut feature from one of the UK’s most exciting actors, Harris Dickinson, also reveals him to be one of our brightest filmmaking talents. Mike, a rough sleeper living on the streets of London, begs and steals his way to get by, but an abrupt altercation with a stranger sends him on a path that could turn his life around. Informed by Dickinson’s own experiences of supporting people dealing with homelessness and addiction, his character-driven film offers an authentic look at complex cycles of self-destruction and the cracks in broken systems. Much more than a compelling social realism piece, the film shines with experimental flourishes and technical brilliance. As Mike, Frank Dillane is a revelation, drawing comparisons with David Thewlis in Mike Leigh’s Naked. Even at his most bitter and challenging, Dillane mines a vein of sympathy that underpins the humanism of Dickinson’s powerful film.

Speaking of the collaboration, Dickinson says: “Calling out people in positions of power isn’t about shaming, it’s about refusing to accept unacceptable rhetoric – this T-shirt supports those seeking to make real change towards homelessness and inequality. All proceeds of the T-shirt sales go towards Under One Sky”.
Under One Sky is a volunteer-led charity that aims to use education, compassion, and collaboration to end homelessness in the UK and beyond. We empower individuals, companies and public organisations to be a part of the change, transforming lives and growing a utopian community, together.
