On September 20, fans around the world will gather for Batman Day 2025, celebrating their love of DC’s Caped Crusader, Batman. Notable not for having any superpowers but for his intelligence, skill, and technical savvy, Batman is one of the most iconic characters in the world and is recognized across the globe thanks to his portrayal in universally beloved comics, TV shows, cartoons, movies, and more since he first appeared in 1939’s Detective Comics #27. Batman’s story of determination and grit has inspired generation after generation.
To commemorate this annual tradition and to celebrate one of the most enduring characters in popular culture, DC and Warner Bros. Discovery have prepared an incredible choice of content and activities to make Batman Day 2025 a memorable and fun experience for fans.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood
On Saturday, September 20, fans can celebrate Batman Day with a one-day immersive experience featuring a Batman-themed studio tour across the iconic Warner Bros. backlot. Bring your friends and family for a night of fun and memorable moments, as you go behind the scenes of your favorite Batman films and see original costumes, cowls, and Batmobiles from the Warner Bros. Discovery Global Archives & Preservation Services.
Highlights on the Batman-themed tour include DC trivia, photo ops, rare props and costumes from the archives, and a complimentary copy of Batman & Robin Year One #1 from the acclaimed comic book team of Mark Waid and Chris Samnee (while supplies last).

Batman Comic Books, DCUI, DC Shop, and More
At participating comic book shops while supplies last, Batman fans visiting their local comic book shop can choose from a selection of Batman titles celebrating Gotham’s Caped Crusader and some of his most infamous adversaries. Multiple new printings of Absolute Batman #1 will be available for fans on Batman Day, including an Absolute Batman #1 blank sketch cover, a foil variant cover, and the oversized (11×17) black and white reproduction of Nick Dragotta’s original art in DC W.I.P.: Absolute Batman #1.
Batman Day editions of Batman & Robin Year One #1 (Mark Waid and Chris Samnee) and Batman: Year Two #1 (Mike Barr and Alan Davis) will be available, and DC will publish a facsimile edition of 1940’s Batman #1 by Bill Finger, Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson—available with its original cover, a blank sketch cover, and as a foil variant cover.

LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight
LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the upcoming action-adventure videogame recently announced by Warner Bros. Games, will offer players the opportunity to unlock the Golden Age Batsuit at launch. This classic outfit based on the Caped Crusader’s debut look from Detective Comics #27 (1939) will be accessible for eligible users who create a WB Games account, as well as those who already have an account.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight invites players to embark on an epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City from origin to legend, inspired by the 86-year history of Batman films, television shows, comics, and games, all combined with the TT Games’ unique LEGO humor. The game is set to release in 2026 for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™ 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Look for more news on the game in the coming weeks!
BAT-FAM
Also this month, look out for some fun updates for Warner Bros. Animation’s highly anticipated BAT-FAM animated series premiering later this fall on Prime Video. The series follows the events of the hit MERRY LITTLE BATMAN film, focusing on Batman, Alfred, and young Damian Wayne—who has now taken on the mantle of Little Batman—alongside a few newcomers to Wayne Manor, as they navigate the fun and frustrations of life as a super family. The series premieres later this year, but fans can watch MERRY LITTLE BATMAN now on Prime Video.

Return to the Gotham City of 2022’s blockbuster The Batman and continue the drama by streaming episodes of The Penguin, or settle in with Batman: The Animated Series or The LEGO Batman Movie. From Warner Bros. Animation, tune in all September long, and on Batman Day, for new Batwheels episodes beginning on September 15th, a Batwheels marathon on Batman Day that includes The Secret Origin of the Batwheels, and a special Teen Titans Go! marathon featuring Batman.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will have digital promotions for the animated series Batman: Caped Crusader on September 16 and the animated movie Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires on September 19.
DC Studios Showcase Podcast will have a Batman Day segment where voice actor Troy Baker talks about his experiences voicing Batman and shares what Batman means to him, his favorite comics, how he sees the dynamic between Batman and The Joker, and more. Warner Bros. Games
Warner Bros. Games is marking the 86th anniversary of the Caped Crusader with Batman-themed content and free giveaways in its DC mobile games:
- Injustice 2 Mobile will celebrate Batman Day from Sept. 8–Oct. 4 with the Dark Knights Pass featuring a chance to earn Arkham Knight Batman. Fans can also claim a free Batman Day logo profile picture in their inbox.
- Beginning on Sept. 16, players can enjoy a special Classic Batman Arena Invasion event and various in-game sales.
- DC Worlds Collide, the newly launched mobile squad RPG, will gift a free Epic Batman character and 300 diamonds to all players who login between Sept. 17-22. Fans can claim these rewards via the in-game inbox during this event period.
Batman-Themed Product Launches
In the coming weeks, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) will collaborate with Spin Master, Mattel, and LEGO® to promote exclusive Batman merchandise:
- Spin Master debuts ninja-themed action figures, including 30 cm Batman and The Joker Ninja figures, and 15 cm articulated characters with accessories and attack features.
- Mattel & Imaginext present two immersive playsets: the DC Super Friends™ Batman™ Insider & Exo Suit and the Bat-Tech Batcave™, both packed with interactive features.
- LEGO® celebrates with new sets including the Batman Forever™ Batmobile™, the 1966 Classic Batmobile™, Batman vs. Two-Face™ and The Joker™, and Batman™ vs. Mr. Freeze™, each designed for thrilling build-and-play experiences.
DC Superpowered Storytellers—Batman Day
In the social good space, Warner Bros. Discovery and Boys & Girls Clubs of America are launching a new partnership to distribute WBD’s Story Lab program featuring Batman and other DC heroes to inspire character development and storytelling. Developed withDiscovery Education and Young Storytellers, the programming kicks off with a Batman Day-themed event in Burbank this September and includes classroom, home, and online activities designed to build bravery, creativity, and critical thinking for youth in 5,500 Clubs nationwide. The initiative also features nationwide distribution of Batman-inspired curriculum via the organization’s digital platforms, virtual training for Boys & Girls Club staff, and incentive-based participation opportunities. By providing youth professionals with these dynamic resources, the new partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering the next generation of storytellers.
