Blue Finch Film Releasing has released the official trailer for writer/director new horror Joseph Sims-Dennett’s The Banished. The film comes to digital platforms in the UK from July 28, 2025.
In this dark and twisted folk horror, Grace finds herself lost, injured and alone in the wilderness whilst looking for her missing brother. Soon her only hope is another hiker who is communicating with her via her radio – however, suspicions start to grow about their true identity. As the darkness grows ever more menacing and a threatening presence begins to consume Grace, who can she really trust?

Written and directed by Joseph Sims-Dennett (BFI London Film Festival selection Observance), The Banished stars Meg Clarke, Leighton Cardno, Gautier Pavlovic Hobba, Tony Hughes and Diane Smith.
