Koei Tecmo has announced a pair of titles will be launching on Nintendo’s brand new Switch 2 console in summer 2025. As featured in this week’s Nintendo Direct showcase, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition will release on June 5, 2025 and Wild Hearts S on July 25.
In Kou Shibusawa’s historical simulation, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition, players must learn the finer points of both military might and political cunning. A culmination of the series’ 40-year history, users can attempt to accomplish Nobunaga Oda’s unachieved ambition to unify Japan through a series of escalating war strategies and diplomacy. Optimized for the Nintendo Switch 2 system, including Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, the game not only features DLC from the original title, but also includes six new scenarios along with climactic Decisive Battles. Players will be able to launch joint offenses with allies, break through the frontlines enroute to enemy castles, and appoint officers to influence both political and economic strategies while experiencing the life as a daimyo in the troubled times of the Warring States Period, 16th century Japan. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition will also be available for the PlayStation®5.
Meanwhile, in the fantasy hunting title, WILD HEARTS S, players will learn to master ancient tech to pursue giant beasts inside an imaginative world inspired by feudal Japan. Users will be able to hunt in a pack of up to four players in seamless co-op, or choose to play as a lone wolf, encountering fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Players can craft, prepare for the hunt, and take down massive monsters in this chaotic world gone wild. Developed for the Nintendo Switch 2 system by Omega Force, the famed Japanese studio behind the DYNASTY WARRIORS franchise, WILD HEARTS S is an epic adventure of crafting action where the free creation of objects leads to highly strategic hunting and flexible combat.
