Huge MCU casting news this evening. Deadline is reporting that breakout Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is set to star alongside Tom Holland in the upcoming Spider-Man 4, set to go in to production later this year.
The film, once again co-produced between Marvel and Sony Pictures, is currently in a holding pattern and nailing down its script whilst Holland is working on Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey. Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is directing, with Amy Pascal and Marvel president Kevin Feige producing.
No word yet on just who Sink will be playing. Recent fan-castings had earmarked her for Jean Grey of the X-Men. We know they’re coming soon to the MCU so could Sink be introduced in a Spider-Man 4 stinger? As per Deadline, Sink is set to play a “significant” role in the film. We already have an M.J. in Holland’s real-life partner Zendaya so unless there’s some multiversal hijinks that’s off the cards.
