As part of their wide-ranging update on the state of the DCU last week, DC Studios co-chairs James Gunn and Peter Safran have officially confirmed that a long-rumoured project is in development. Not only that but now we know rumours of the film’s writer were entirely correct…
Last week Gunn and Safran assembled a group of journalists to update on the DCU slate. Almost two years to the day from their original announcement the pair left no stone unturned in an update which touched on all corners of the DCU. Aside from announced brand new animated series, Superman shorts and talk of multiple Bat-men, it was news on a certain project, Teen Titans, which caught our eye.
Back in early summer the rumour first circulated that Superman: Woman of Tomorrow scribe Ana Nogueira was working on a Teen Titans project for the studio. When asked about the project during their presentation Safran remarked “The script’s not ready yet, I mean, I think we said that Ana Nogueira is writing it.”
Gunn was quick to reply: “We haven’t said that”.
But the cat is out of the bag now.
“It was something that Ana was really impassioned about, and she turned over an amazing script for us,” Gunn continued. “She’s fiddling with that now, but it’s definitely not a finished script.”
Who would you like to see in the line-up with the Titans make their way back to the big screen?
