It’s been a while since we had any news on Marvel Studios planned Vision series for Disney+. But overnight Deadline has offered an update on the series’ casting process as it makes its way towards cameras rolling.
According to the trade The Franchise star Ruaridh Mollica is stepping into the MCU with a regular role in the series which is being spearheaded by Star Trek: Picard‘s third season mastermind, Terry Matalas. Mollica will reportedly play a character named Tucker. No further details on the character, or their potential comic book history, have been made clear at this stage.
The Vision spinoff, set to bring Paul Bettany back to the MCU, is reported to take place after the events in WandaVision where the character made a return after Thanos killed him in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. The new series is believed to follow Vision (Bettany) as he tries to regain his memory and humanity and could potentially pick up on the events of Agatha All Along.
In addition to Bettany, Mollica joins previously announced James Spader, who reprises his MCU role of Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron, Todd Stashwick, and Faran Tahir, who will reprise the role of Raza. No news yet on when the series is expected to enter production.
