Time to check out this week’s UK Official Film Chart as Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine holds on for a fifth week in the top spot in a week where Halloween celebrations mark some welcome returns…
With exactly 999 sales between the Top 2, it’s been a close race this week between reigning champ Deadpool & Wolverine (1) and drama/romance It Ends With Us (2), which lifts one to a new peak in its second week of release.
Spooky modern sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice drops one (3) while the original Beetlejuice holds in this week’s Top 20 (16).
In fact, more than half of this week’s Top 40 is filled with Halloween titles; from horror films like Late Night with the Devil (17), The Conjuring (23), It (30) and The Shining (34), to more family-friendly choices like Coraline (9), Monster House (26), The Corpse Bride (29) and Roald Dahl’s The Witches (39).
Meanwhile, Despicable Me 4 holds tight at Number 4 in its tenth week on chart, marking its tenth consecutive week in the Top 5.
Twisters also holds strong on its position from last week (5) while witchy 90s flick Practical Magic lifts three places to Number 6. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is up one (7) finishing ahead of Dune: Part Two (8).
Rounding out the Top 10 this week is psychological thriller Trap (10), which re-enters the chart following its release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
