The Nice House by the Sea #4 is written by James Tynion IV and published by DC. Alvaro Martinez Bueno created the artwork and cover, and Jordie Bellaire created the colours.

The Nice House by the Sea #4 is available now in print and on digital platforms where all good comic books are sold. You can grab your digital copy from Comixology UK here.

    Synopsis

The impossible has happened —the House has been invaded from the outside. What does it mean that someone, anyone, out there still exists? And how far will the residents of the House go to protect themselves?

    Review

In the fourth issue of “The Nice House by the Sea,” the level of weirdness escalates, and we delve deeper into the backgrounds of some pivotal characters (Oliver and Walter) and the global network of seaside fortresses that accommodate members, each representing a specific topic.

We finally uncover more about Walter and Oliver, particularly the underlying reasons for the deterioration of their relationship, which provides context to this significant puzzle piece. Following Walter’s murder, the group find themselves scrambling to protect their own interests to ensure their safety. The question is, will they collaborate and succeed, or will their egos clash, costing them their lives?

The ensemble of characters is the true gem of this comic; it’s a rich tapestry with many intricate relationships and dynamics at play. Each character is meticulously developed and thought-out, which can sometimes be overwhelming to keep track of. However, as we delve deeper into this captivating and intricately crafted world by Tynion and Martinez, everything starts to make sense. The comic truly shines in its portrayal of a vast and rich world teeming with lore and mystery that begs to be explored. But its real brilliance lies in the quieter, more intimate dynamics between characters.

    Verdict

The Nice House by the Sea #4 provides a complex world with in-depth character exploration, though it can be overwhelming at times due to its intricacies. It’s a solid issue that is intriguing but struggles with clarity. Get your copy today and uncover the dark, mysterious, and expansive world created by Tynion and Martinez.
