Warner Bros. has had a strong start to 2024 with the box office successes of both Dune: Part Two and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The latter has so far grossed $188M in the US and a further $359M internationally for a worldwide total over $547M. Now the studio has announced UK home video release plans for the fifth film in the so-called Monsterverse.

The film, directed by Adam Wingard, comes to digital platforms on May 13, 2024 and will then arrive on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD on June 24, 2024.

In our four-star review of the film James says “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is a ridiculously fun and epic ride that is so confident in what it wants to achieve that it’s hard to be mad at any of the small issues, it is all just pure exhilaration. The MonsterVerse has finally figured out what it wants to be and it is rolling with it, taking everything that made the MonsterVerse shine and pushing it further than ever before. Brilliant visuals, stunning world-building, and relentless action. The perfect cocktail for any monster movie fan.”
