GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE, GODZILLA x KONG and More Land on RAKUTEN in May 2024

Fresh from the cinema, smash-hit movies Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire arrive this month on Rakuten TV, one of Europe’s leading streaming platforms that enables viewers to rent, purchase or to watch films and entertainment content for free without a subscription. 

From today, Frozen Empire is available to watch at home for £19.99 to buy and £15.99 to rent. The supernatural comedy film reunites original Ghostbusters Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson with Mckenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard to fight an evil force unleashed from an ancient artifact.

Sci-fan and action fans wanting more needn’t wait long, with the arrival of The New Empire landing on the platform from the 13^thMay. Starring Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall and Bryan Tyree Henry, the two legendary cinematic monsters reunite to fight a new threat in the new blockbuster.  

This month’s straight from the cinema releases to purchase and rent also include the psychological thriller Mother’s Instinct, starring Oscar-winners Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain; Dev Patel’s Monkey Man and the Oscar-nominated animation Robot Dreams.  

There is also a huge selection of newly added free to watch films, Rakuten TV’s ad-supported section including two chapters of the hugely popular Resident Evil series; Resident Evil: Retribution and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter joining the platform, alongside What Happens in Vegas, What’s Your Number?, A Most Violent Year, A Single Man, North, The Last Manhunt, Rare Beasts, Cosmic Sin, Armstrong, Daredevil, Yoga Hosers and Mad Families.

This month the PGA Tour channel will stream the Wells Fargo Championship live and the Gringochannel is celebrating the life and work of John Wayne in a special hosted on May 26^th. 

From 20^th May – 2^nd June Rakuten TV is running a ‘Must-Watch Movies on Offer’ promotion, where best sellers including Interstellar, Wrath of Man, Top Gun Maverick, The Godfather, A Quiet Place, The Lord of The Rings, John Wick and many more, will be reduced over the summer half term period.
