We’re a little over a week away now from the two-episode premiere of X-Men ’97 on Disney+. In the run up to the release, Marvel are continuing to release more retro styled promos for the series. Today we’re taking a look at a cool new character of trading-card style character posters featuring the series’ main cast.
Marvel Animation’s X-Men’97 revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future. The series begins streaming on Disney+ on March 20, 2024.
Let’s kick off with this cool poster which flashes us right back to the 90’s with a folio of the complete collection:
After debuting the group poster the studio dropped a full series of individual posters through the social channels for each of the voice actors on the show.
The series reunites the voice-cast from the original 90’s cartoon including Cal Dodd (Wolverine), Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm), George Buza (Beast), Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler), Lenore Zann (Rogue), and Chris Britton (Mister Sinister). They’ll be joined by other original cast members now taking on new roles including Catherine Disher, the original Jean Grey, Chris Potter, the original Gambit, Lawrence Bayne, the original Cable, Ron Rubin, the original Morph and Alyson Court, the original Jubilee.
Joining the cast for the series are Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, JP Karliak as Morph, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, Ross Marquand as Professor X, Giu Augustini as Sunspot, Gil Birmingham as Forge, and Eric Bauza as the Sentinels.
Episodes of X-Men ’97 are directed by Jake Castorena, Chase Conley, and Emi Yonemura. The series features music by The Newton Brothers, while DeMayo, Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Victoria Alonso serve as executive producers.
