Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #146 is published by IDW Publishing, written by Sophie Campbell and illustrated by Vincenzo Federici.

Issue #146 is available 20th December 2023 either directly from IDW Publishing online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

As Donatello uncovers the truth about Armaggon’s origins, the time-eating tyrant begins to exert his influence on one of the Turtles’ allies. It’s a race against time as the road to #150 continues in Sophie Campbell’s biggest TMNT story yet!

    Review

In this issue we see Leo, Bob and April try to find the whereabouts of Donnie and Venus, it becomes increasingly likely that they have been sucked into an underground wormhole as they search for Armaggon and stop him before it’s too late. The wormhole could be the reason for Armaggon’s influence, a wormhole that looks like it feeds on the QNA. Donnie and Venus have set foot on solid ground but in what timezone, a meeting with what seems like future Leo puts some reality into this battle.

The dark side of Bob becomes clear as it comes to light that he is draining April’s QNA under his master’s instructions behind the backs of unsuspecting Donnie and Venus, time is running out for our masked heroes the time for action is now, using the information from their future selves it will be a step ahead they definitely need.

The longer they leave Armaggon the stronger he will be so the situation is at an urgent level, the universe depends on it.

Sophie Campbell provides another dramatic issue where you can literally feel the hands of time ticking past as our heroes try their best to get to Armaggon before it’s too late as the path to issue #150 becomes an epic journey to an event not to be missed.

The illustrations of the book are spellbinding, Vincenzo Federici expertly depicts the dramatic time jumping events that just captivates, especially the images of going through the worm hole and the QNA extractions really captured my imagination.

    Verdict

A great issue as we follow the path to #150 the unfolding events are leading to an epic conclusion as the team race to catch Armaggon before it’s too late.
