Hunt For The Skinwalker #4 is published by BOOM! Studios, written by Zac Thompson, illustrated by Valeria Burzo, coloured by Jason Wordie and lettered by Joe Sabino.

Issue #4 is available 20th December 2023 either directly from BOOM! Studios online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

Between Sasquatches, mysterious creatures in the trees, someone or something watching, and orbs galore, perhaps Tom hasn’t been full of it after all. The NOSS team is on the job, witnessing something bizarre in the distance, something that chills them to the marrow, something with a strange connection to Tom that is finally revealed…

    Review

In this final issue of this extra terrestrial series the strange being that has brought havoc and fear to the once peaceful ranch begins to be unmasked. The NOSS team are still following up leads and various sightings mainly relying on Tom for information, but the suspicion and doubt begins to appear as the team begin to doubt the integrity of Tom’s evidence, no actual sightings means no proof at the end of the day they are working on Tom’s word alone at this point.

It’s not until one of the team actually has a telepathic connection with the mysterious being that everything begins to make sense not just the recent events even the events going back years relating to sightings of a “Sasquatch” or even Bigfoot which could all be the same thing.

This series has captivated me and gripped me throughout the series, it felt like a bit X Files but ramped up. Zac Thompson has written a series full of mysterious doubt you spend the whole series thinking is it real? Is Tom making it all up? Gripping is definitely the word and certainly pulled on a few heart strings.

The illustrations from Valeria Burzo accentuated the dark feeling of the series using a dark theme throughout, the simplistic style of the drawings seemed to add more emotion to the story. The colours used were deep and effective adding a powerful emotion to the story throughout.

    Verdict

Explore a new sense of reality and go on a in depth journey into the surreal as we find out we are not alone in this world. A good overall series that gripped throughout, worth picking up if you’re a fan of the unknown. Remember as the saying goes “The Truth is Out There”
