BOOM! Studios has announced the continuation of the Pen & Ink collection: a deluxe art-focused format of select first issues, featuring stunning black and white interior artwork and cover alongside artist commentary. This latest installment will spotlight the first issue of the breakout series Grim #1 by Stephanie Phillips and Flaviano, available February 2024.
This newest issue follows the BRZRKR #1: Pen & Ink by the record smashing creative team of Keanu Reeves, Matt Kindt, and Ron Garney, Something Is Killing The Children #1: Pen & Ink, by Eisner-winning creators James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera, the multiple award-nominated The Many Deaths of Laila Starr #1: Pen & Ink by Ram V and Filipe Andrade, and the runaway hit spinoff series House of Slaughter #1: Pen & Ink by Tate Brombal and Chris Shehan.
The iconic first issue that introduced the world to Jessica Harrow returns in a stunning new format, featuring all-new commentary from series artist Flaviano!
“We were seeing fans coming to conventions dressed as Jessica Harrow before the first issue of Grim was out on shelves!” said BOOM! Studios President of Publishing and Marketing, Filip Sablik. “Bringing Stephanie and Flaviano’s wonderful, harrowing world to the Pen & Ink line was an absolute no brainer for us, and I am so excited for fans to experience the story in this new luxe format.”
Every Pen & Ink issue will feature a premium cardstock cover and luxuriously thick wood free interior paper, alongside a gorgeous Spot UV variant cover and a blank sketch cover.
Grim #1: Pen & Ink will be available February 2024 exclusively at local comic book shops (use comicshoplocator.com to find the nearest one) or at the BOOM! Studios webstore. Digital copies can be purchased from content providers, including comiXology, iBooks, and Google Play.
