It’s a busy week at the Daily Planet! James Gunn is getting ready to take flight with his Superman: Legacy movie, which is set to begin filming in early 2024. Now, there’s no film without the cast, and this week has been full of exciting announcements. First Nicholas Hoult joined as Lex Luthor, then María Gabriela de Faría was casted as The Engineer, the films’ villain. Who could possibly be next?
As of today, the upcoming DC feature has added two additional members to the already quite large cast.
Skyler Gisondo, who appeared in HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, has joined Superman: Legacy as Jimmy Olsen, the photographer at The Daily Planet who works alongside Clark and Lois.
Sara Sampaio, known for her Victoria’s Secret modelling work, has been casted as Eve Teschmacher, Lex Luthor’s loyal henchwoman.
Gisondo and Sampaio will be joined by David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
Superman’s next heroic adventure will soar into cinemas on July 11th, 2025. Stay tuned for more super news.
