    Synopsis

The bizarre, true history of Gorman Ranch continues as Tom and Ellen witness things they can’t explain, and are desperate to find answers as they have no choice but to stay and try to make farm life work. Between a series of grisly and mysterious mutilations, unexplainable odors, and esoteric orbs, Tom and Ellen push through the terror to get to the bottom of things, but more than the cows are in danger…

    Review

In this issue life on the Gorman Ranch gets more surreal as Tom and Ellen witness events that they just can’t rationally explain. Tom’s dream of becoming a cattle farmer, leaving the hustle and bustle of ‘normal’ life behind, has taken a dark twist as the events we saw in the first issue remain in explained but keep happening all the more. Gruesome discoveries on the farm are becoming a daily occurrence and look to be getting worse, Ellen begins to wonder if it’s all actually worth it or is it time to cut their losses and get away from the ranch but Tom is determined to make his dream come true whatever it takes.

Tom begins a quest to find the culprits and stop this gruesome carnage on the ranch, he seems to be getting closer the answers but whoever or whatever it is always seems to be two steps ahead. Whatever this is is on the verge of ruining everything Tom’s ever dreamed of, but is that the actual point of all this to actually drive them out? We shall find out.

Zac Thompson writes an intricate story based on the shocking real life events of the Gorman Ranch, each thrilling panel has you on the edge of your seat as the horrific events unfold. You can’t help but feel sorry for Tom and Ellen as they descend into darkness that makes them question their very sanity as the unexplained events keep occurring, answers need to be found.

The thrillingly dark story is expertly illustrated by Valeria Burzo and dramatically coloured by Jason Wordie both combining to provide a chilling depth to this shockingly true story that will visually leave you with goosebumps.

Reading this story will have you questioning the reality along with the characters as the story unravels around you but you will still be left with questions unanswered, the next issue can’t come quick enough.

    Verdict

Chillingly dark and thoroughly mystifying, a horrific story based on chilling real life events. As darkness descends on the Gorman Ranch can Tom and Ellen ride the storm? A question of how much fire there is left in the fight.
