Star Wars has always focused on this very potent bond between Master and Apprentice. It has been passed down since the beginning. Obi-Wan & Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon Jinn, Kenobi & Anakin, Anakin & Ahsoka, Luke and Rey. The list goes on and on. The teacher and student is a key ingredient in the Star Wars mythos, and Ahsoka isn’t looking to abandon it.
To face Grand Admiral Thrawn and find Ezra, Ahsoka is going to need all the help she can get. With the Jedi still endangered and a new Empire rising to the surface, Ahsoka takes it upon herself to train a brand new Jedi- Sabine Wren. For those who watched Rebels, Sabine and Kanan were not the most… Efficient team, but they got the job done and Sabine had a brief taste of the Jedi way. Even with his eyesight gone, Kanan could see and feel the turmoil inside Sabine. He guided her and helped her grow, but it’s safe to say they weren’t the most compatible together.
How will Ahsoka get on? To celebrate Ahsoka‘s premiere being just one week away, Disney+ released a brand new featurette that dives into the new and developing relationships formed in Ahsoka, both on-screen and off-screen.
The two-episode series premiere of Ahsoka, a Star Wars Original series, arrives August 23 on Disney+

The episodes are directed by Dave Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa. Dave Filoni is the head writer and executive produces along with Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist serves as co-executive producer.
