Marvel Studios used last night’s Super Bowl to debut a huge new trailer for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 from director James Gunn. The brand new trailer heralds the beginning of major promotion for the May 5, 2023, release.
Featuring a tonne of new footage from the finale to Gunn’s trilogy, the new trailer puts a heavy focus on the return of Gamora (Zoe Saldana). It also certainly feels like a blockbuster ending which may not see all of the team survive.

In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

The film comes to cinemas on May 5, 2023.
