It seems as though we’re not done in Tir Asleen just yet. If you’ve been itching to re-enter the wonderful world of Willow, we have some very good news for you. To celebrate Willow and it’ epic finale which aired last week, Disney+ has announced that they will be releasing an all-new documentary that’ll explore the making of Willow. Willow: Behind the Magic will feature new and returning cast members, as well as the show’s creative team, includuing producers Michelle Rejwan and Jonathan Kasdan.
To get fans excited for this behind the scenes scoop, Disney released a trailer for the special that dived right into the magic and action. Throughout the documentary, we’ll learn how the creative team achieved some of the shows’s most epic and beautiful sequences, from Immemorial City to the stunning chase across the Shattered Sea- We are personally excited to see how they brought Kenneth the Mudmander to life.
In addition to that, we’ll also have the opportunity to hear from the cast, and it sounds like Warwick Davis was quite the troublemaker on set. We cannot wait to hear from the newcomers like Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Dempsey Bryk, Ellie Bamber, and Amar Chadha-Patel. They were all fantastic, so it’ll be an absolute treat to learn more about their experience on the show, as well as what it was like to join the Willow mythology. Then there’s Willow himself, Warwick Davis, who is taking an Office approach to this documentary, and it looks hilarious.
Fans can definitely expect to learn how Willow was created, but it won’t be in the typical documentary style that we’ve seen before on Disney+. With Davis taking the reins, not only are we guarenteed an interesting and captivating behind the scenes look, we’re also guarenteed a hilarious journey that’ll dive into the memories made on set and the bonds formed while making this magical show.
