Last week we left the entire fate of the Federation hanging in the balance as the crew of the USS Protostar found themselves in the middle of a crisis. With The Diviner’s weapon infecting the entire Starfleet armada things were looking bleak for our heroes.
This week brings the season finale of Star Trek: Prodigy and the completion of the two-part finale. “Supernova, Part 2” was written by co-creators Kevin and Dan Hageman and directed by executive producer Ben Hibon. Once again, the episode picks up immediately in the aftermath of last week.
As the Federation hangs in the balance, the crew must make the ultimate sacrifice to save Starfleet’s future.

Developed for TV by Kevin and Dan Hageman, Star Trek: Prodigy stars Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Angus Imrie, Rylee Alazraqui, Dee Bradley Baker and Jason Mantzoukas. The series also marks the return of Kate Mulgrew as a holographic version of Captain Janeway.
