How do you introduce a video like this? There really aren’t enough words to sum up Tom Cruise’s contribution to cinema. What he does in the stunting world is quite simply insane. Not only does Cruise deliver in terms of spectacle, he also continuously pushes the boundaries of what is possible, and what is practical. In a world that is gradually being consumed by CGI’s ability to render the impossible possible, Tom Cruise laughs in its face and says “Well, I can do this” and then proceeds to jump out of buildings, run down skyscrapers, and perform deadly stunts in helicopters. Cruise has proven time and time again that each Mission: Impossible movie is an attempt to up the stakes and create something that will blow audiences away.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is no exception. In a brand new featurette, Tom Cruise takes us on a journey to Norway where he performs his most dangerous stunt yet. This new stunt, which will appear in the upcoming movie, involves Cruise riding a motorcycle off a cliff. Because why not, right?
The featurette explores the complexities surrounding a stunt such as this, as well as the actual stunt itself. If you are an admirer of Cruise’ talents, then this featurette is an absolute must. You really gain a wider understanding of the thought process that is required for a stunt of this scale. It’s not just about the stunt, there are so many additional things to consider and this exclusive clip highlights them all. It’s absolutely fascinating and we can’t wait to see this particular stunt on the big screen where it belongs.
The next question is… How can he top this?
