Christmas is almost here and each year delivers some sort of retelling of an incredibly classic and Christmassy story. However, we don’t think anyone anticipated a modern-day adaptation of A Christmas Carol that stars both Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell… Yet here we are. To celebrate the upcoming release of Spirited, Apple TV+ have shared a brand new trailer for their musical comedy which will absolutely fill audiences with plenty of Christmas spirit. If not, Bah humbug to you!
Each Christmas Eve… The Ghost of Christmas Present (Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host. Suddenly, Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future. For the first time, ‘A Christmas Carol‘ is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale.
Spirited will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on November 18th, 2022. Check out the full trailer below:
From director Sean Anders (“Daddy’s Home,” “Instant Family”), written by Sean Anders and John Morris, with original songs by Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land”) and production numbers choreographed by Chloe Arnold (“The Late Late Show with James Corden”), this modern retelling is a sweet and spicy holiday treat.
