Anime fans! We’ve got something a little different for you today… While Atsuko Ishizuka’s directorial debut Goodbye, Don Glees! hasn’t had its theatrical release yet (don’t worry, it will), Anime Limited have released a collectible vinyl comprising of the film’s beautiful soundtrack.
Presented on 180 gram discs and pressed on 2 x yellow splatter effect vinyl, this eclectic soundtrack composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa (No Game No Life Zero, Love Live! School Idol Project) reflects the resplendent emotional atmosphere and sense of exploration of the film perfectly.
Teen misfits Roma, Toto, and Drop call themselves the “Don Glees,” an informal name for their backyard adventures. One day, when the trio gets blamed for a nearby forest fire, they set off into the woods to prove their innocence. As disaster strikes their expedition, tensions flare between the friends as they realize that growing up has taken them on wildly different paths in life.

The stunning vinly is available to preorder right now. It’ll cost £34.99 and will be released some time in January of 2023. It is an absolutely wonderful soundtrack and with its announcement we’re hoping that the theatrical release will be upon us very soon. There is no point enjoying Fujisawa’s work without witnessing the heart and soul of Ishizuka’s story. The series follows a group of girls who embark on a journey to Antarctica. Filled with laughs, tears, brilliant characters, and outstanding animation, A Place Further Than The Universe is one of the sweetest shows out there. It is definitely worth a watch before heading into Goodbye, Don Glees!
