Review
This issue the already dark series takes an even darker turn as the hunt to take Spawn down heats up and the most direct way of getting to Spawn is through the other hell spawn, but with them being The Scorched they’re not just going to have a nice conversation over tea and biscuits. The Sin Devourers take their torture to new levels as they endeavour to get to the weak points of each of The Scorched all lead by one mysterious being. Time is running out will any of The Scorched crack and if they do what will this mean for the future of the universe as we know it?
Throughout the series The Scorched has been intense and fast paced and much is down to the writing talents of Sean Lewis who had the unenviable task of writing a story of a group of powerful characters giving them their own identity but creating a super group of the most anti of anti heroes. This issue in particular was my favourite so far, it had pretty much everything an intense emotionally driven story that has taken this series to a new level and I am excited to see what comes next.
The illustrations from the Spawn multiverse are always of a high standard and Stephen Segovia keeps that going with some phenomenal artwork that adds to the already dramatic tone of the book.
Verdict
Another 5⭐️ release from this incredible multiverse, an already powerful series is getting more and more powerful. Edge of the seat thrill ride which will leave you second guessing everything.
