D23 Expo delivered some brand new trailers, brilliant teases, and some new first looks from different corners of the galaxy. Among the wonderful bombardment was an update regarding Jon Watts’ Star Wars series Skeleton Crew. Watts and Jude Law took to the stage during Lucasfilm’s lengthy presentation to briefly discuss the upcoming show. While we didn’t learn a great deal, we did get a first look at Jude Law’s currently unknown character.

In addition to that, Law and Watts confirmed that the Disney+ series would take place in the New Republic era- post Return of the Jedi. Depending on where this show takes it, we could see some familiar faces and locations along the way.

Skeleton Crew is currently in production now. The pair even confirmed that they’ve been shooting for a few weeks. In terms of the show itself, all we know so far is that the series will follow a group of children who are lost in space. It appears that Jude Law’s character will help guide the children home while also showing them the many wonders and threats throughout the galaxy.

As always, we’ll have to do some waiting before we receive any more information. Skeleton Crew is set to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2023. We don’t have a proper date yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted on all things Star Wars related. Are you excited to see Jude Law in the Star Wars universe? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
