Power Rangers #22 is published by BOOM! Studios, written by Ryan Parrott, illustrated by Marco Renna, coloured by Walter Baiamonte with assistance by Sharon Marino and Sara Antonellini and lettered by Ed Dukeshire.

Issue #22 is available from 10th August 2022 either directly from BOOM! Studios online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

With the new Ranger wreaking havoc and bringing destruction, Andros realizes the scale of his mistake, and that the planet is in grave danger. But when the deadly Ranger seeks a new host, an unexpected and much-beloved victim becomes the next tool of death, at the expense of the Omegas…

    Review

In this issue we follow Andros and the new Ranger, who at first claims to be helping Andros and the Rangers but soon that facade drops and the Ranger’s intentions aren’t friendly at all. Andros’s need to find Zhane and reunite one more time has left him vulnerable and slightly naive, but this mistake isn’t just going to effect Andros this will effect the Rangers and the universe.

On the Astro Megaship Jason and Yale are suspicious of the new Ranger and try to warn Andros of their concerns but it’s too late for Andros his head is too far gone he knows it’s wrong but he can’t fix it alone but deep down inside he still wants to believe and trust this new ranger but doing so is putting the rest of the Rangers in grave danger, do the Rangers have the time to stop them or is it too late?

Ryan Parrott has once again delivered a breathtaking story that is emotionally driven but also with pangs of mistrust and self doubt, this isn’t as full on as some of the other issues this feels a little more from the heart, a bit more grounded and gives us a great run into the conclusion of this amazing arc coming next.

As always the creative team have smashed it, Marco Renna draws like no other his style creates more intensity to the story making the reader feel every word mix that up with the amazing colours used by Walter Baiamonte with help from Sharon Marino and Sara Antonellini you have a combination that can only win.

    Verdict

This arc just gets better and no one does it better than Ryan Parrott, this issue sets the tone going into the conclusive next issue and has left me counting the seconds until release. If you haven’t read this arc yet then you most definitely need to get catching up ready for issue #23, it’s going to be epic.
