New STAR TREK: PICARD Teaser and Character Posters Tease TNG Reunion
A new teaser and character posters for the final season of STAR TREK: PICARD tease the reunion of The Next Generation cast.

After Warner Bros. wrapped up its time at SDCC, it was down to the casts of three Star Trek series to take the floor in Hall H. The Star Trek Universe panel had previously announced it would be focussing on the final season of Star Trek: Picard, season 3 of Lower Decks and the recent success of Strange New Worlds.
With the announcement that the original cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation will be reuniting for the final season of Picard, it was safe to say anticipation for the panel was high. Thankfully, the assembled panel members did not disappoint. Actors Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard) and Gates McFadden (Doctor Beverly Crusher) were joined by executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Rod Roddenberry and brought with them a brand new teaser trailer!
It certainly appears that plenty of the former U.S.S. Enterprise crew are still within Starfleet. Geordi (LeVar Burton), Worf (Michael Dorn) and Dr Crusher all appear to be wearing a new version of the future Starfleet uniform. It also appears that following his recommission in the season one finale, Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes) is also still in uniform.
A huge (and welcome) surprise comes in seeing Jeri Ryan’s Seven of Nine in what appears to be a First Officer’s uniform in the teaser. We last saw her taking charge of the U.S.S. Stargazer after Rios decided to stay in the past during the season 2 finale. It appears that in the time between seasons she has now become a fully fledged officer.
Following the panel, Paramount+ has released a series of new character posters for the upcoming season:
The third and finale season of Picard will see Stewart return alongside Ryan and Michelle Hurd who plays Raffi. The rest of the core Picard cast has now exited to make room for the returning TNG crew. They will also be joined by long-time Trek actor Brent Spiner. Spiner is suspiciously absent from both the trailer and the posters with producers clearly trying to keep his role a secret.
Star Trek: Picard will stream sometime in 2023.
