Captain America 4 has reportedly found its director. Over the week The Hollywood Reporter from the news that The Cloverfield Paradox director, Julius Onah, has signed with Marvel Studios to direct Anthony Mackie’s big screen debut as the new Cap.
Little is known about the film which will pick up after the events of Disney+’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. With Sam Wilson (Mackie) accepting the shield, he’s now poised to change the Avengers-landscape following the loss of Steve Rogers.
Malcolm Spellman, the creator and head writer of the Disney+ series, is penning the script with Dalan Musson, a staff writer on the show. No release date has been confirmed at the time of writing.
