Actress Hayden Panettiere is returning to the horrific and chilling world of Scream. Previously starring in Scream 4 over a decade ago, Panettiere will be reprising her role as Kirby Reed who survived Ghostface’s slaughter.
Not much is known about the plot of this sequel from Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures. However, as with any Scream film Ghostface will of course return with a fiery vengeance. Who will be Ghostface’s next victim? Only time will tell.
So far, the creative team behind the most recent reboot is ready for another bout with Ghostface. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are set to return to co-write the screenplay with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directing.
On top of that, the characters who survived the wrath of Ghostface have already been confirmed for the sequel. Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega are ready for more bloodthirsty thrills- To be honest, so are we. According to a report via The Hollywood Reporter, filming is due to start sometime this summer.
