Thor: Love and Thunder is gradually approaching. Despite Thor’s fourth adventure coming out in July, we’re absolutely certain that it’ll speed by. Now, we’ve had our first trailer and poster, but get ready for our best look yet. Thanks to Empire, we received a new still straight from Love and Thunder which gives us an outstanding look at Natalie Portman as The Mighty Thor, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor with his new and vibrant costume.
According to Director Taika Waititi, Jane’s arrival will truly mess with Thor since it has been roughly 8 years since the duo parted ways. Not only will Love and Thunder dive into Thor’s ability to handle Jane’s return, but he’ll also have to deal with the fact that there are now two Thors. How this comes about? Well, it’s hard to say but since this story is inspired by Jason Aaron’s comic book run from 2015, we may already have some clues… Potentially heartbreaking clues depending on how Love and Thunder adapts the source material.
Waititi had this to say about the process of bringing Natalie Portman back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “You don’t want Natalie coming back and playing that same character who’s walking around with science equipment. You know, while Thor’s flying around, she’s left on Earth, tapping her foot going, ‘When’s he going to be back?’ That’s boring. You want her to be part of the adventure.”

Once again directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and Christian Bale. The film will also see the return of the Guardians of the Galaxy including Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista and Vin Diesel.
The film is set to hit UK cinemas on July 8, 2022 from Marvel Studios and Disney.
