The final countdown to the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has well and truly begun. This week the cast began their global press tour for the film and recently touched down in London ahead of a photo call with cosplayer in Trafalgar Square.
Meanwhile, the promotional gears at Marvel Studios have kicked in to overdrive with several new TV spots surfacing online. One of those spots (below) has raised eyebrows for confirming a number of huge plot points from the film which could be considered major spoilers.
You’re only going to want to watch this if you’re ready to learn some major details about who is appearing in the film and who they might be playing!
As you can see the trailer gives us a clear look at the distinctly yellow chair of a certain Professor Xavier, played once again by Patrick Stewart. We also get a clear glimpse as the shield of Captain Britain, aka Captain Carter, played by the returning Hayley Atwell.
Whilst Stewart has been glimpsed in one of the earlier trailers, this new spot marks our first confirmation of his role and really our first official confirmation of Captain Carter. Leaves you wondering who else they might be hiding…
Directed by Sam Raimi, the film stars the returning Benedict Cumberbatch alongside Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Xochitl Gomez and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff.
Doctor Strange The Multiverse of Madness is set for release in UK cinemas on May 5, 2022.
