After hurtling through its first four episodes of season 2, this week it looks like Star Trek: Picard is about to put its foot on the breaks. With the revelation that the Watcher is none other than a very un-Romulan looking Laris (Orla Brady), Admiral Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) will be sitting down to understand what is so important in 2024.
Elsewhere in “Fly Me To The Moon” we will be introduced to Adam Soong, the latest member of the Soong family to be played by Star Trek legend Brent Spiner. If that wasn’t enough, the episode was directed by another legend of the franchise, Jonathan Frakes.
Here’s the full synopsis:
Picard discovers an important person from his past may be integral to the divergence in the timeline. Q continues his manipulation of the timeline, taking an interest in Dr. Adam Soong. Seven and Raffi attempt a daring rescue of Rios, while Jurati faces the consequences of her deal with the Borg Queen.
