Review
In this issue we see the continuation of the story arc that has seen the unlikely teaming of the evil Clown and a battered Gunslinger Spawn but the unlikely alliance is already looking frayed with Clown’s true intentions starting to show. It’s showing that Clown wasn’t the ally that he was presenting himself as , more of a case of taking advantage of a weakened Gunslinger, but is Gunslinger as weakened as he’s coming across, once again definitely an issue worthy of a read.
All the Spawn titles that are out at the moment are forming a formidable multiverse, one of the best out there, of the titles Gunslinger Spawn is becoming one of the stand out titles with the writing from iconic writer Todd McFarlane the title is only going to get stronger as the issues pass.
The illustrations from Brett Booth are once again typically Spawn, full of amazing detail and plenty of blood and gore but it never feels over the top as a fan of Spawn you do come to expect a certain level and as of yet I haven’t been disappointed. The Spawn multiverse is the benchmark that other comics work towards.
Verdict
Once again another outstanding issue, a story arc that just gets better and I can’t see it dropping off any time soon, you always get a top quality story from the multiverse when you feel you know what you’re getting the bar gets raised and get surprised again, I am enjoying this ride of the multiverse and don’t want to get off just yet.
