Home Sick Pilots #12 is published by Image Comics, written by Dan Watters and illustrated by Casper Wijngaard.

Print copies are available from 16th February 2022 either direct from Image Comics or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

The history of the ghosts is laid bare as Rip and Buzz’s hunt for the final missing ghost of the Old James House takes them deep into the past sins of America.

    Review

The release of issue #12 of Home Sick Pilots sees the continuation of the story arc following the young group and the Old James House which is becoming more and more action packed as the arc continues, this issue however has a bit more than that with Rip and Buzz searching for the final missing ghost of the Jones House taking them deeper beneath the surface in more ways than one. What they thought was the answer quickly appears to take another darker turn with the new avenue of “The Mould” appearing and the involvement from the government appearing to be more and more deep routed, is the government responsible for all of this?

Dan Watters has brought one of the stand out comic series of last year and looks as though that will continue into 2022 with every issue passing the arc seems to grow and grow also evolving and keeping the reader engaged in the arc. It is fascinating to see where this series is going to progress to with it now being in it’s twelfth issue it looks like there is no sign of the story letting up and to be fair I don’t want it too.

The illustrations of the series have so far been captivating with a bold and bright sci-fi style illuminating the story and opening up the imagination of the reader, Casper Wijngaard is of the most talented illustrators out there at the moment and it shows throughout the pages, partner that up with the heart racing story from Dan Watters it really makes for one of the best stories around.

    Verdict

This series is my top comic series of the moment, it has it all excitement and emotion captivating and moving your emotions and imagination. This has been an exciting ride so far and I’m looking forward to see where this arc will go it looks like things are about to get darker and more intense, the next part of the story is looking like it will be the best part yet.
