It’s been a little while since we last heard any news on Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but that all changes today with the news that the first trailer will debut tomorrow during The Game Awards.
Paramount Pictures has confirmed the news on social media alongside dropping the film’s first official poster. Though there’s no sign of the recently cast Idris Elba as Knuckles, the poster does feature new looks at Sonic (Ben Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey), and the villainous Doctor Robotnik (Jim Carrey).

Once again directed by Jeff Fowler, Sonic 2 reunites Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz. The sequel is due in cinemas on April 8, 2022.
