Warner Bros. has confirmed that the animated The Batman series is heading to Blu-ray for the first time in an all-new remastered set. Fans will be able to get their hands on all 65 episodes of the 2004 animated series from February 1, 2022 in the US.
The Batman ran for five seasons, ending in March 2008 with a showdown that brought the entire Justice League to the small screen. Over the course of its run the series introduced plenty of Bat-Family characters including Batgirl, Robin and a full rogues gallery.
The series starred Rino Romano (Spider-Man: Unlimited) as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Alongside Romano was Alastair Duncan (Batman: The Long Halloween) as Alfred Pennyworth, Danielle Judovits (Naruto: Shippûden) as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl and Evan Sabara (The Polar Express) as Dick Grayson/Robin. Batman’s rogue gallery was brought to life by an all-star voice cast including Kevin Michael Richardson (American Dad) as the Joker, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) as The Penguin, Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) as Mr. Freeze, and Gina Gershon (Riverdale) as Catwoman.
The legendary Adam West also appeared in a number of episodes voicing Gotham’s Mayor Grange.
The series was famed for its legendary theme tune which was written by U2 guitarist, The Edge:
The fully remastered set will retail in the US for $69.99 and comes packed with every episode on disc with an additional digital copy. The set also contains a mix of old and new bonus featuring including:
