THE SUICIDE SQUAD Comes Home To Warner Bros. Home Entertainment

After being released in cinemas at the end of July and receiving critical applause left and right, The Suicide Squad is finally releasing at home for DC fans to watch on repeat! Warner Bros. UK has officially announced that James Gunn’s latest magnum opus will be available to rent the Home Premiere for a premium price (£15.99) from Digital Retailers on 6th September. On 25th October, the film will also be available to own on Digital Download before heading to physical media (4K UHD, Blu-Ray, DVD and VOD) on 8th November.

Welcome to hell – a.k.a Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the USA. Where the worst supervillains are kept and where they will do anything to get out – even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. The do-or-die mission? The team, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and Harley Quinn. They are then all given weaponry and dropped on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. If they successfully complete the mission, they will all get ten years off their prison sentences.

The Suicide Squad Blu-ray contains the following special features:

    • Deleted & Extended Scenes
    • Gag Reel

The Suicide Squad DVD contains the following special features:

In our review of the film Neil said “James Gunn has crafted nothing short of a DC Comics masterpiece with The Suicide Squad. Unapologetically brutal, outstandingly funny and thanks to some bold story choices surprisingly gut wrenching.”

The film stars Idris Elba as Bloodsport, John Cena as Peacemaker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Sylvester Stallone as King Shark (voice), Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2, Peter Capaldi as The Thinker along with a huge supporting cast.
