Review
Jed MacKay’s fantasy series is back and with yet more twists and turns this month as the Planeswalkers try to find the answers to who planned the attacks against them. But as issue #5 makes abundantly clear, time to solve the mystery is rapidly running out.
Not only do Ral, Kaya, and Vraska need to find out the person (or persons) behind the attacks, but suspicions are growing. The tension escalates as the other clans begin to realise that all is not what it seems.
MacKay once again does a fantastic job in bringing the detail of the Magic universe to life. Giving a full detailed story of the Planeswalkers and their adventures brings new twists to the story arc with each issue keeping it fresh and engaging.
Ig Guara uses his artistic talents to the max bringing the MTG world to life on the pages with incredible detail, the bright colours and tones used by Consonni catches the readers eyes and brings your imagination deep into the story world.
Verdict
Again another great issue adding more drama and depth to the story arc keeping the reader guessing what twist the next issue will bring and what the creative team plan to do next, if the last 5 issues are anything to go by, I really am looking forward to the next issue.
