Yesterday was the annual Picard Day celebration. Titled for a fictional annual event held aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise-D for the ship’s schoolchildren, Picard Day is celebrated on June 16th by Trek fans across the globe.
This year’s celebrations included two very cool reveals. The first was a brand new teaser trailer for Star Trek: Picard season 2 which includes our first look at the returning John de Lancie as Q! Watch the teaser in the tweet below:

There’s a lot to unpack here. It certainly seems that Picard will deal with the idea of time. After referring to time as being “broken” we’re treated to a number of shots of the series’ main cast in what may be alternate timelines. It all culminates in shots of Jeri Ryan’s Seven of Nine awaking to find her Borg implants are no more!
As well as that tantalising trailer we’ve also got a brand new teaser poster. Featuring a contemporary image of Los Angeles, the city’s iconic freeways have been twisted to become a Starfleet insignia… what could it all mean!?
Star Trek: Picard stars Patrick Stewart, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Isa Briones, Harry Treadaway, Alison Pill, Jeri Ryan, Jonathan Del Arco and Evan Evagora.
