Well, I can’t say that we’re surprised. As avid Attack on Titan manga readers, we know exactly where the story is heading and there is still so much content to cover. We had two ideas though, either we would get a Part 2 or a movie or two. While movies do tend to have bigger budgets, which would greatly benefit the final arc of Attack on Titan, the problem would revolve around international viewership. Whenever an anime film is released, it usually takes a few months for it to enter western territories. Just look at Demon Slayer. I don’t know about you, but we’d prefer to watch Attack on Titan as it airs.
So, here we are. As soon as the 75th episode aired, we received confirmation that Attack on Titan would continue with a second part. A short teaser soon followed giving fans a little insight into the 76th episode of the series.
Check it out:
As you’ve probably noticed, Attack on Titan is set to resurface in Winter 2022. Anime schedules tend to follow a quarterly pattern whereby “Winter” shows air anytime in January or February. So yes, there’s a lot of waiting to do. But we know for a fact that it is going to be worth the wait.
Part 1 of Attack on Titan has done a phenomenal job at adapting the manga. As of episode 75, there are only 20+ chapters left to adapt. It’s likely that Part 2 will comprise of 16 episodes again, so we have a lot to look forward to. Just be patient. Use this break to mentally prepare yourself for what it is coming.
