In a recent online interview with Inverse composer Danny Elfman confirmed that he will be working on the score for the upcoming Marvel Studios blockbuster sequel Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.
Having previously worked on the original early 2000 Spiderman films score it was an obvious choice for Sam Raimi to go with Elfman once again.
With a composer of Elfman’s caliber you know weare in for a treat with names such as Batman (1989), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Mission: Impossible (1995), Men in Black (1997), and Dumbo (2019), and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) on his CV he definitely is the right man for the job.
Elfman couldn’t reveal too much about the score or film. “I am starting to do bits of pre-work for Doctor Strange 2 that Sam Raimi’s directing,” he said. “Even though I don’t start it for some months, there’s bits of recorded music they need for the sets.”
Doctor Strange The Multiverse of Madness is set for release March 25th 2022.
